Aviation-inspired music artist Speed Brake Armed, led by United Airlines airline pilot, author, piano technician, and musician Peter Buffington, announces that music from five recent full albums and three surging singles will be a part of the iconic Night Airshows on Wednesday and Saturday nights at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026.
Drawing from Buffington’s real-world experience flying Boeing 737s for a major U.S. legacy carrier, Speed Brake Armed blends cinematic rock, classic aviation anthems, big band swing, and high-energy tracks that capture the thrill of flight, airshows, and hangar nights. These releases have rapidly gained popularity among pilots, airshow enthusiasts, and aviation fans worldwide, with growing streams on platforms like Spotify, YouTube, and Audiomack.
The featured albums include:
- 737 Red Eye – The groundbreaking debut capturing the solitude and adrenaline of overnight flights.
- 737 Diversion – A genre-pushing exploration of unexpected routes and introspective skies.
- 737 St. Erasmus’ Airshow – Epic cinematic rock honoring airshow spectacle and pilot dedication.
- 737 Airshow America – Patriotic tributes to the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, and American airshow legends.
- 737 Hangar Dance – The latest (released February 2026), a danceable swing revival evoking 1940s hangar parties with waltzes, jitterbug, and Lindy hop vibes.
Complementing these albums are three standout singles surging in popularity:
- “U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demo Team Thunder”
- “U.S. Air Force F-15 Strike Eagle Demo Team”
- “U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet Demo Team “
Song “Oshkosh ‘Bound” will play through the night skies over Oshkosh during the Wednesday and Saturday Night Airshows, enhancing the pyro, aerobatics, and fireworks with authentic, pilot-crafted soundscapes that resonate deeply with the aviation community.
“AirVenture is the heartbeat of aviation passion,” said Peter Buffington. “It’s an honor to bring the energy of red-eye flights, thunderous demos, and hangar dances to the aviation community through music. My music was born in the cockpit and from 35 years of flying experiences—now it’s coming to Oshkosh this summer.”
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 runs July 20–26. For more on Speed Brake Armed, visit their Spotify artist page or YouTube channel. @SpeedBrakeArmed across all platforms.
